Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2015

Just when you thought the Australian cricket team's efforts in England were re-defining the term "sporting disaster", along comes the Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2015 to lower public expectations to disturbingly low new levels.

Once again, it is time to kick off on a three month punting journey towards the first Tuesday in November.

And beyond.

But not too far beyond, just as far as the Sandown Classic.

The 16th instalment of the Turf Deli movie franchise sees the same old story lines dragged out, implausible re-writing of historical plots, and an ageing cast replaced largely with CGI special effects, whilst they secretly hope for a series reboot to get them all out of their contract commitments.

As always it has been a year of much change and turmoil in racing since we last appeared in your inboxes last November.

- the cobalt scandal has seen several high profile trainers come under scrutiny, but there has not been a single Breaking Bad gag done yet.

- track ratings have been changed to make them more standard, but the names of races and racetracks continue to fluctuate wildly depending on who this year's sponsor is.

- racing station TVN folded after it was revealed to be churning through more money than a entitlement gouging federal politician, and the TV broadcast rights turned into a bloody battle of epic proportions between Sky Channel and Racing Victoria.

Fortunately all this happened whilst we were off air, and so we can cover all these news stories again this spring. You can stay misinformed with all the stale and breaking racing news leading into the Melbourne Cup with the weekly Turf Deli Racing News.

Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2015 will run pretty much the same as it always has.

Except we reserve the right to maybe pick different numbers in some races this year (if we can be bothered).

Over the next three months, we will send out our newsletter every week, for the meetings listed below. It will have links to the feature meeting form guide, with tips and suggested bets for the casual and serious punter alike, and a critical form analysis for the main race of the day.

The newsletter emails will arrive in your inbox by 5pm on the day before each race meeting, and normally around Friday lunchtime when work productivity reaches its peak.

As per usual there has been some changes to the spring meeting schedule, mainly due to the later AFL Grand Final this year.
