Turf Deli Introduction
2010 Spring Campaign

As the incessant hum of angry bumble bees from the World Cup fades into the background, a distant rumbling emerges from the silence. A vibration, ever so mild, runs through the ground. A warning sign of something large, significant, and imminent approaching. Something unprecedented. Something beyond the realms of comprehension. Put your ear to the ground and listen – what is that? What could it be?

No - it’s not the 8:10 train to Flinders Street finally arriving (…as if…).

The sound is more of a clip, then a clop and then a clippity-clop, clippity-clop, with a bit of a snort, a proud prance and an arrogant throw of the head. There is no need to use ancient native skills to decipher the vibration from the ground, just check the racing calendar.

Yep, it’s time for Spring Racing Carnival 2010.

What will this year hold in store ? Drama ? Controversy ?

All in brawls in the mounting yard ?

Meaningful interviews with celebrities in Cup Week ?

Coming off the global success of Paul the Octopus during the World Cup, one sure bet is that we are going to get swamped by a scrumptious seafood platter worth of aquatic psychic tipsters this spring.

This year promises to be bigger than most as racing proudly celebrates the 150th running of the time honoured Melbourne Cup.

Turf Deli is also extremely proud to be associated with 150 Years of losing Caulfield Cup – Melbourne Cup doubles.

The Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2010 will operate as follows:

Every week, for the meetings listed below, we will mail out our form guides. As always they will include tonnes of tips, ooze suggested bets and focus on a detailed critical form analysis for the main race of the day. Plus the odd silly preview and as always plenty of cheap shots at dead easy targets like the Melbourne Public Transport system.

Form guide emails will be sent out by 5pm on the day before the race meeting.
