Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2011

It may be only early August, but once again it is time for the Turf Deli peloton to slowly start cycling its way through the scenic industrial estates of North Melbourne, as we head towards Flemington for that first Tuesday in November.

Each stage of this gruelling event, the Tour De Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2011, is carefully planned by elite professionals to the hundredth of a second, and the course geographically mapped to the finest minute detail using state of the art satellite global positioning equipment.

This is mainly to ensure that the scheduled hamstring stretch, tyre change and drinks break every 40 mins just happens to end up right next to a friendly local TAB - so that you don't miss the next race.

Kicking off the initial stages on cold frosty winter mornings, slowly building to the difficult climb through the footy finals frenzy, and culminating in a sprint finish to get on before they jump in the last - it is always an enthralling event that captivates, or at the very least, mildly distracts people who really should be working on a Friday afternoon.

We are still sipping the finest French Champagne as we lazily pedal along (got to love a sport where you can sip champagne and compete at the same time), after our very successful Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2010. ___________________________________________________________________________________________

So, dust off the good suit, and co-ordinate, then unco-ordinate and re-cordinate your wardrobe, and get your mobile phone betting and fascinator apps at the ready, cause it's time for Spring Racing Carnival 2011.

As always Spring 2011 promises to be a dramatic, action packed, full steam ahead cavalcade of the finest racing around.

Will the mighty sprinting mare BLACK CAVIAR continue on her historic unbeaten way ?

Will SO YOU THINK return from backpacking around England to attempt a third consecutive Cox Plate victory ?

And most importantly - will punters ever, ever recover from the overwhelming, edge of your seat excitement that is the new mathematical algorithm for calculating deductions for late scratchings

With the world once again facing perilous times - yet more devastating economic doom and gloom, and the fragile ecosystem of our planet threatened by an unsustainable number of home renovation and cooking reality shows, it is always worth remembering the oldest of proverbs - "There is no problem too big - that a decent quaddie can't fix".

Every week, for the meetings listed below, we will send forth our newsletters into the great unknown and also into your inbox. There will be plenty of tips and suggested bets for the casual and serious punter alike. And as always, we will continue to cover all the big stories and issues in racing - with the scantest regard for fact and milking every cheap gag we can.

The newsletter emails will be sent out each week by 5pm on the day before the race meeting.

Last Week's Results

Previously...On Turf Deli

We had a bumper Spring 2010. The weekly Betting Portfolio, with a normal weekly outlay of $50, managed a rather tidy +$524.50 profit over the season.

Even better, we were ahead from Week One, and stayed ahead for the whole of spring. So one $50 deposit got you through the whole season, you never had to dip into your pocket again, and it magically grew into 10 times that by the end of proceedings.

We backed up in Autumn, which was largely unsuccessful and will very conveniently be glossed over. But you can find the results on the website if you look hard enough.

Thanks for all the feedback over the last year. You can read what the general public have to say about Turf Deli on the feedback section of the website, or visit our facebook page.
